CUHK "Building Healthy Schools to Foster Positive Educational Outcomes"
Date: 13/12/2025
Students from our Medical Club participated in a meaningful service-learning activity in collaboration with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), aimed at promoting healthy eating habits among kindergarten students. Drawing on their knowledge of basic nutrition and health science, the students designed and delivered interactive learning activities to introduce young children to balanced diets, healthy food choices, and daily wellness habits.
Through games, storytelling, and hands-on demonstrations, our Medical Club members translated scientific concepts into age-appropriate, engaging learning experiences. The activity not only enhanced young children's awareness of healthy eating but also allowed the students to apply classroom knowledge in a real-life community setting.
This collaboration strengthened our students' sense of social responsibility and professional awareness while nurturing their communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Additionally, it provided valuable exposure to community health education, reinforcing the role of youth in promoting public health and well-being.
