Form 1 Adaptation Workshop and Parent Education Talk

The Form 1 Adaptation Workshop and Parent Education Talk: “How to Help Your Child Learn Effectively?” was held on Saturday 23th August 2025 at the school JMB Hall, with participation from Form 1 students and their parents.

The activity aimed to help students adapt more easily to secondary school life, support parents in acquiring effective strategies for guiding their children's learning, and strengthen parent-child communication and cooperation during the transition period.

The Form 1 Adaptation Workshop, led by the school social worker and senior students, provided practical experiences and counseling insights to help participants understand the academic and social challenges of secondary school, including learning strategies, interpersonal relationships, and parent-child dynamics. The Parent Education Talk, delivered by registered counseling psychologist Mr. Yu Chun-Yeung, covered the theoretical foundations of enhancing learning motivation, an introduction to the VAK learning model, and effective discipline and encouragement techniques for parents. These interactive sessions encouraged collaboration between parents and children in facing new challenges and launching a successful secondary school journey together.
