History Excursion: Court of Final Appeal
Date: 30/03/2026
On 30 March 2026, about 30 Form 3 students, organised by the History Department, visited the Court of Final Appeal to enhance their understanding of Hong Kong's judiciary and the architectural heritage of the building. The guided tour included the Court and the Court Lobby, offering students an up‑close view of courtroom layout and court procedures. In the Exhibition Gallery, students explored the history and operations of the judiciary through precious historic photographs and artifacts. The Architectural Heritage Gallery traced the building's transformation, highlighting its architectural design and construction technology and demonstrating principles of conservation and adaptive reuse. They also saw the present library, converted from the old cell area, which now houses over 10,000 volumes and mainly serves judges and Judiciary staff. The visit brought classroom learning to life, inspiring greater interest in Hong Kong history and heritage preservation.
