Physics & Innovation: Exploring the Science of Tomorrow in Zhuhai

Date: 02/04/2026

From 1 to 2 April 2026, our Secondary 4 and 5 Physics students had embarked on a two-day, one-night immersive programme in Hengqin, Zhuhai. This experiential STEAM learning journey—supported by VR/AR technology, applied physics, and engineering concepts—aimed to connect classroom theory with real-world technological applications.

During the programme, students participated in hands-on VR/AR workshops that deepened their understanding of the physical principles behind modern immersive systems, including optics and motion tracking. Through guided interactive sessions, they had explored key topics such as centripetal force, acceleration, and VR physics, strengthening their ability to relate observation and measurement to scientific explanations. In addition to classroom-style learning, students learnt about high-tech immersive rides and physics-themed experiences covering space, nature, and environmental physics. They also built their engineering and structural understanding of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge, highlighting the role of physics in large-scale infrastructure. To broaden their horizons, students visited Zhuhai Aerospace Land and the National Geographic Ultimate Explorer, experiencing science in context and inspiring curiosity for future learning.
