無伴奏合唱工作坊

On 1 June, our school assembly hall was filled with energy and music when five professional singers from the Hong Kong A Cappella Academy visited students from Form 1 to Form 5.

The workshop began with a brief introduction to A cappella—music created using only the human voice, without any musical instruments. This was followed by a stunning performance featuring five-part harmonies, powerful deep bass lines, and exciting vocal percussion (vocal drums). Students were amazed by how a full band sound could be produced entirely through voices.

After the performance, it was the students' turn. The singers taught the whole hall how to beatbox and create drum sounds using voice techniques. The highlight of the day came when students took to the floor for their own performances. They did an amazing job, and received huge cheers from the audience for their confidence and creativity.

It was a memorable experience that inspired students to explore new ways of enjoying and creating music.
