On January 17, our Medical Club organized a First Aid and CPR Training Programme in collaboration with Hong Kong St. John Ambulance. The programme, conducted in English, aimed to equip students with essential life-saving skills and the confidence to respond effectively in medical emergencies, empowering them to serve and protect others in times of need.
Through structured instruction and hands-on practice, students received practical training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and core First Aid procedures, including bleeding control, fracture management, airway obstruction, and the handling of common emergencies such as asthma attacks, cardiac incidents, shock, epilepsy, and heat-related conditions. Emphasis was placed on quick decision-making, teamwork, and calm responses, which are critical in emergency situations.
The training not only strengthened students' medical knowledge but also nurtured a strong sense of social responsibility. By acquiring practical skills that can potentially save lives, it reinforced our Medical Club's commitment to developing compassionate, capable, and service-minded future healthcare leaders.
